Gold jewelry

The gold jewelry we are actively buying and our payout percentages may change with market conditions. For the most current information, call Silver & Gold Cash Buyer at 405-705-2909 before visiting.

What Types of Gold Jewelry Do We Buy?

Silver & Gold Cash Buyer purchases many types of solid karat gold jewelry from customers throughout Edmond, Oklahoma City and the surrounding metro area.

Gold jewelry we commonly purchase includes:

  • Gold rings and wedding bands

  • Gold bracelets and bangles

  • Gold necklaces and chains

  • Gold earrings, including single earrings

  • Gold pendants and charms

  • Gold brooches and pins

  • Broken, tangled or damaged gold jewelry

  • Estate and inherited gold jewelry

  • Other qualifying solid-gold items

Gold jewelry does not need to be new, fashionable or in perfect condition. Broken clasps, missing pieces, tangled chains, damaged settings and unmatched earrings may still have value because our offers are based primarily on the item’s gold content.

What Gold Hallmarks and Purity Markings Do We Accept?

Eligible gold jewelry should generally have a recognizable karat or purity hallmark.

Common gold markings we consider include:

  • 10K or 417

  • 14K or 585

  • 18K or 750

  • 22K or 916

  • 24K or other qualifying high-purity markings

A hallmark indicates the represented gold purity, but a stamp alone does not establish authenticity or guarantee that an item qualifies for purchase.

Non-hallmarked jewelry may be considered only at our discretion. If you are unsure whether your marked jewelry qualifies, call us at 405-705-2909 before visiting.

Gold Jewelry We Generally Do Not Purchase

Not every item that looks gold contains enough gold to qualify for purchase.

We generally do not purchase:

  • Gold-plated jewelry

  • Gold-tone jewelry

  • Costume or fashion jewelry

  • Items without a recognizable hallmark, except at our discretion

  • Items with questionable authenticity

  • Items containing little or no recoverable gold

  • Products that do not meet our current purchasing requirements

Markings such as “GP,” “GEP,” “HGE,” “RGP” or similar designations generally indicate that an item is plated or is not solid karat gold.

We do not automatically test every unmarked or questionable item. Our in-person evaluation is intended to produce a genuine purchase offer for eligible jewelry, not to provide free identification or testing services.

How Much Do We Pay for Gold Jewelry?

Our gold jewelry offers are based primarily on:

  • Current gold spot price

  • Represented and verified gold purity

  • Item weight

  • Recoverable gold content

  • Non-gold components, when applicable

  • Quantity being sold

  • Current refining and market conditions

  • Our applicable payout percentage

We purchase qualifying gold jewelry for a percentage of its calculated gold-content value. Different karats contain different amounts of gold, so a 10K item and an 18K item of the same weight will not have the same underlying gold value.

Gemstones, non-gold parts and other materials may contribute to an item’s total weight but are not included as payable gold content. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, our offer is based on the item’s recoverable precious-metal content rather than its original retail price, replacement value or sentimental value.

We generally do not pay additional premiums for:

  • Designer or brand names

  • Age or collectibility

  • Original boxes, receipts or certificates

  • Retail replacement value

  • What the seller originally paid

  • Higher asking prices found online

Silver & Gold Cash Buyer is a for-profit precious-metals buyer. We purchase gold jewelry with the intent to resell, refine or distribute it through established channels. Our offers account for verification, refining, handling, market risk and the operating costs involved in completing the transaction responsibly.

The gold spot price and applicable payout percentage are determined at the time of the in-person transaction. Because gold prices can move quickly, telephone estimates are not guaranteed or locked prices.

Our Gold Jewelry Evaluation and Verification Process

We begin with a visual evaluation of the jewelry. We review information that can be observed without immediately testing the item, including:

  • Karat or purity hallmark

  • Item type

  • Weight

  • Construction

  • Condition

  • Overall appearance

If the jewelry meets our current purchasing requirements, we can provide an initial offer based on its represented purity, weight, current gold spot price and our applicable payout percentage.

We do not provide gold testing, appraisal, grading or written valuation as a stand-alone service.

Verification is performed only as part of a proposed purchase. If you accept our initial offer and want to proceed with the sale, we perform the verification necessary to complete the transaction.

If verification shows that the purity, weight, authenticity or gold content differs from what was represented, we will explain the issue before proceeding. Any revised offer is yours to accept or decline.

There is no pressure or obligation to sell. Our goal is to provide a clear, professional and respectful experience so you can make an informed decision.
